A fiberglass housing connects the nylon disk which receives the key to the coil at the other end of the ignition. The metal ignition piece which prevents your key from turning is GONE. The fiberglass housing is secured to the steering column leaving plenty of clearance for the knees and legs. The key is still required to start the car but it is guaranteed to turn since the metal ignition piece is not in place.
